What are Impact Windows and Doors
Our impact windows and doors, also known as hurricane windows and doors, are built to withstand severe weather like hurricanes and tropical storms.
Our windows and doors use impact-resistant glass made from two layers of glass bonded with a strong, clear interlayer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB).
This design prevents the glass from shattering into dangerous shards or allowing gaping holes where dangerous winds enter.
The frames of impact windows and doors are made of strong, heavy aluminum, making them much stronger and more durable than non- impact windows and doors.
This sturdy construction provides extra protection against high winds and flying debris, keeping your home, business and family safe during severe weather.

How Do Impact Windows and Doors Work
The main purpose of impact windows and doors is to protect your home, business and family from hurricanes.
During a hurricane, when non-impact glass of windows or doors breaks, the sudden pressure change can cause severe damage like roof uplift or wall collapse.
Impact windows and doors prevent this by staying intact even when hit by debris.
The laminated glass absorbs the impact, and the reinforced frame stops the window or door from blowing in or out.
